Monmouthshire Stone is a working Delph quarry situated in the heart of Monmouthshire, near Llanvihangel Crucorney. The quarry had been redundant for hundreds of years until Matthew had the Delph reinstated to supply local stone for building projects. The Delph now produces excellent quality ‘Devonian Old Red Sandstone’ which has beautiful colour variations ranging from greeny/grey to a purple tinge. During the process of starting up the business Matthew was unfortunate enough to have a serious accident which involved him breaking his neck. The recovery has been a long process but Matthew has
a loyal team and this enables him to oversee all orders that leave the yard to a very high standard. All the stone / flagstones etc can be viewed at our yard which is situated near Llantilio Crossenny, but we do ask you to contact us so we can make sure we are available on-site.
